Welcome!

The National Organization for Women is one of the few multi-issue progressive organizations in the United States. NOW stands against all oppression, recognizing that racism, sexism and homophobia are interrelated, that other forms of oppression such as classism and ableism work together with these three to keep power and privilege concentrated in the hands of a few.

NOW was founded in 1966, during the second wave of feminism. With over 500,000 contributing members, NOW is the largets feminist organization in the U.S.

The UCF chapter of NOW was founded in 2007 with just a handful of women. Membership has grown considerably and currently includes both women and men. The NOW UCF Campus Action Network is the primary group at UCF that focuses on a variety of women's issues.
